Lourdes and it's surroundings


It's here, in 1858, the virgin appeared before the small sheperdesss, Bernadette Soubirous. Even today, emotions are strong in front of the simple grotto, some 5 million visitors, from 130 countries gather before the statue statue of the Virgin Mary. 65 miraculous healings have been officially confirmed.

The Cirque de Gavarnie and the Pic du Midi

The Cirque de Gavarnie and Mont Perdu chains, the most beatiful limestone region in the world, the highest in Europe, culminating at 3353 meters altitude, is classified world patrimone by UNESCO. With exceptional landscapes joined together by three glacial cirques Gavarnie with it's 420 m waterfall, Estaubé, Troumouse. On the Spanish side, the fabulous Ordesa, Anisclo and Pineta canyons.

Pic du Midi Observatory is situated at 2877 m altitude to help you discover the sky, sun, stars with an impressive view of the Pyrenean chain.
